Wine, Dine & Canine Rehabilitation

Wine, Dine

&

Canine Rehabilitation

at Veterinary Rehabilitation Services of Virginia

Join us for a relaxing evening filled with food, drink & great company at Veterinary Rehabilitation Services of Virginia! This event is open to all small animal veterinarians and veterinary technicians — think of it as a special ‘night out’ for you and a guest!

Sommelier and winemaker Tracy Waldron will guide us through the approach used by professionals to taste and evaluate wine, and the systems by which our brains and palates make sense of wine’s structural and aromatic characteristics. We’ll also explore how the 5 recognized tastes (salt, sweet, bitter, acid, and umami) change our perception of the wine in the glass. Some of these interactions can make excellent wines seem unbalanced, while others can make lesser quality wine seem more pleasing.

By the end of the evening you will be able to choose wines that you’ll enjoy; be able to discuss your likes and dislikes in restaurant, wine shop, or winery settings; and understand how to choose exactly the right wine to pair with any meal. Throughout the evening you are welcome to explore our facilities and ask questions to Sophia Fuller, DPT, CCRP, CMTPT and Katherine Johnson, DVM CERP — heads of our Canine Rehabilitation department at VRSVA!

Event open to all small-animal veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

Date: Thursday, May 12, 2022

Time: 6:30-9:00 PM
